Laundry is so profitable

June 9th, 2006
My wife and daughter live in UCSB west campus. The washer is $1.25 per load and dryer is $0.5 per load. You know all babies are nasty one way or the other. In order to keep them clean, we need to wash three to four loads each week, which translates to $5.25 to $7.00 per week, or $273 to $364 per year, that’s almost good enough to buy a cheap washer!

Now I know why the vendor can afford using an IC card system. It is so profitable if you use energy-star washer and gas-powered dryer.
