Recently my DDJ is expired but I have no idea about that. They should put something special on the cover of the last issue so that the customer will know. That&#8217;s passive.<\/p>\n<p>My PC Magazine subscription is going to expire this November. Ironically, they sent me a postcard said that if I didn&#8217;t renew, they will charge my credit card <em><strong>automatically<\/strong><\/em> so that I won&#8217;t miss any issue. Sweet huh? That&#8217;s aggressive, but we are not through yet. They charge me $34.97 for one year (that&#8217;s 24 issues I believe). On their web site, anyone can have the deal of $25 for 25 issues. Why did they treat their existing subscribers like morons?<\/p>\n<p>Actually I didn&#8217;t read the postcard, I found they charge my Wells Fargo card when I was using Money 2004 to manage my bills. Well, the first thing I do is to call Wells Fargo that the transaction is not authorized by me and you guys should take care of <em>possible fraud<\/em>. Then I have to call PC Magazine guys. Guess what? Nobody home. I had to write an e-mail to complain about that, and then they told me I have to cancel the automatic transaction myself via their <em><strong>convenient<\/strong><\/em> web service, and they&#8217;ve already told me this on the little 8-pt-fonted postcard. Sorry Mr. Dvorak, I can&#8217;t help to use your style criticizing the stupidity of PC Magazine. The greatest thing is that both Wells Fargo and PC Magazine refunded me.
